CCSI Researchers Report Method for Uncertainty Quantification of Property Models for CO2 Capture

CCSI researchers recently published details of a method for quantifying the effects of uncertainty in property models on model predictions and its application to CO₂ loaded aqueous MEA solutions. This new method represents an important capability enabling more effective development and scale up of capture processes. This method will also be utilized for creating a “gold standard” validated MEA process model utilizing data collected from the National Carbon Capture Center (NCCC) in 2014.
